Disabling flashing taskbar buttons - This may work but I can't expect players to make registry changes.
Run In Background - does not seem to make a difference.
Happens if the game is running in a window or in fullscreen window (borderless) mode.
Happens on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, unsure if it happens on other versions.
I'm sure there must be a way because I've tested the same situation against other Unity games and they don't seem to get the same issue. I've been struggling to find the reason this occurs and how to stop it. Typically I see it corresponds to when a program is flashing orange on the taskbar, this can be due to a desktop alert (like Facebook or Slack uses) or if the program wants to notify you of something (Unity Editor itself does this quite often). I'm finding that after I launch my game, sometimes another program will trigger a notification of some sort that will cause my game to minimize to bring that program to the foreground.
